Personal Vibes: The Rhythm that Moves Us
Virtual Art Show

Kokeshi Elvira: Enormous beehive hair, dramatic makeup, black stilettos, big mouth oddball. The shock comes from everywhere and through all your senses. Mysterious, yet, girl next door attitude. An exuberant horror tv hostess with a profound love for B movies. A sarcastic comment always coming out of her mouth. She always says what is on her mind, which I can relate to very well to. Strong -"I'm not a princess that needs rescuing"- attitude. Her dagger belt buckle always made me wonder what would happen if she were to stab herself, this iconic fashion statement is something I had to forge for her.
Kokeshi Evil Queen: What woman hasn't fantasized about being the most beautiful woman? I can definitely relate to that. I don't recall when was the first time I saw her, but I remember the feeling this commanding female presence evoked in me. I wanted to be like her. Her red lipstick and dark shaded eyes were the most exuberant thing I had ever seen. Even while wearing a cloak, you could see the contour of her body, such a powerful and alluring image. I wanted to capture the conceited and highly sensual expression on her face and stance.
Kokeshi Sailor Moon: I created this doll to cherish the memories I have of this character. She is the leader of a group of teenage girls.  Her constant naivete and non-stop eating made her an endearing character during my youth. The transformation from Usagi Tsukino to Sailor Moon always amused me as a young tween. It was shocking to see the silhouette of her naked body on the screen, and it always made me wonder if I could get to see it if I looked closely while she was transforming.
Kokeshi Maleficent: When creating my version of this character, I wanted to showcase a more approachable being. She just wanted to go to the party -awkward-. Imagine showing up, being reminded that you were uninvited, and still giving a gift!. Her bearing while talking, the style and colors of her clothes, and the impeccable sharp makeup were so much more appealing to my eyes than those rosy and dull fairy good mothers, or even Princess Aurora.
Kokeshi Digital Illustration Vampirella: Sexy, fierce, and dominant: the illustration depicts those attributes. A vampire with strong morals fighting against other vampires to save the human race? Dressed in a minuscule attire, she can command the utmost respect and fear to friends and foes alike. Sign me up for that story! Just because she is a vampire, doesn't mean she is evil. She is just a girl with a not so desirable family tree.
Kokeshi Digital Illustration Jessica Rabbit: No explanation needed, right? We've all seen her, a sultry cartoon singer, femme fatale, with a seductive gaze. Everyone thinks she is just another bimbo, and can't understand the deep love she has for Roger Rabbit. A perfect example of a strong woman that can be both gorgeous and astute. I wanted to portray her as mysterious and voluptuous, but also like someone you could talk to. An attainable dream dressed in red.
